What this tool refuses to do
A converter that pretends to be certain will teach you a word wrong. This one knows 4,709 Thai words and phrases from the course, and says so when it does not know one.
It does not infer tone for unknown words
Known words and phrases use the course reading, which may include tone marks. Tone comes from the consonant class, the syllable and any mark, all together, which a letter-by-letter reading cannot see. The tone finder works it out for you, and the rules are here if you would rather learn them.
It does not split unknown words
Thai is written without spaces, and guessing where one word ends can change the meaning. Anything it does not recognise comes back as Thai with no reading rather than an invention.
It does not fix silent letters
Loanwords keep letters nobody says. อยาก reads yaak, not o yaak, and only a word list knows that.
